When I lived in Canberra (Australia) in the 1990s & early 2000s, I had occasional contact (through Ron Welch, an amateur astronomer) with Dick Barwick, a professional astronomer who was at Tidbinbilla Deep Space Tracking Station during the Apollo missions.

Tidbinbilla Tracking Station, being on the other side of the earth from US stations, picked up some of the most important signals during the Apollo missions. Tidbinbilla was used for tracking the Apollo Lunar Module: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canberra_Deep_Space_Communication_Complex

During a phone call, I told Dick about the case Eric Hufschmid presented that the moon landing was fake. But Dick related his experience at the time:

- the spacecraft dissapeared behind the moon, and the signals stopped, at the same time
- then the spacecraft re-appeared, and the signals resumed.

The best way to give Conspiracy Theories a bad name is to over-do them. Then other people will say, "Oh, but he denies the Moon landings too", and dismiss what you have to say about 9/11 etc.
