I took part in Kevin Barrett's webinar on Sunday May 31, 2020 (Monday June 1 in Oz). Despite the hype with which it was promoted, it actually gave balanced coverage of the topic.
I helped balance the Gordon Duff line that Covid was a false flag attack by the USA. Of course, that view was presented, but counter-evidence was put, including by me.
The Contra-evidence I put, listed sequentially by date, is:
- Sept 18: The City of Wuhan conducted a drill, one month before the start of Wuhan Military Games, simulating a Coronavirus infection (also nuclear material)
- Oct 3: Chinese virologists arrested at Winnipeg biolab in Canada, implicated in smuggling biological material to Wuhan
- Oct 21: A Report to China's Congress warned of risk of leaks from biolabs
- Jan 2: Director of Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) issued a notice forbidding anyone to release info on the coronavirus
- Jan 28: Charles Lieber & 2 Chinese students arrested, students trying to smuggle biological material to China
- Feb 6: article by Chinese scientists from Wuhan & Guangzhou said Covid likely to have leaked from WIV (12km from market) or Wuhan CDC (280m from market). Uploaded to Researchgate, later removed.
- Feb 13: Order from Beijiing said "put an end to the theft, leakage and loss of pathogenic bacteria."
In the end, participants did not put any definitive view, but covered the spectrum of dissident opinion (which is more informed than mainstream opinion, because the MSM censors stories it does not like). It was actually a valuable snapshot of current dissident opinion at present.
The webinar ran for nearly 4 hours; I have suggested that they produce a DVD of it. It can be watched online at Barrett's No More Lies site.
The time was 4am here in Oz. I made a mistake & got up at 3am on Sunday here, only to find that it was the next day. That gave me 24 hours to prepare. I hooked up an extra QHD monitor for the webinar so that I had facts on hand.
Many readers of this newsletter are inclined to the view that the Coronavirus was made in the USA. Some think that Event 201 "went live", as the drill on 9/11 did.
Event 201 was a Globalist exercise simulating a coronavirus pandemic, conducted in Baltimore on October 18; Michel Chossudovsky noted that it was held "on the same day" as the opening of the World Military Games in Wuhan.
Further, Chossudovsky wrote on March 8, "The coronavirus was named 2019-nCoV by the WHO exactly the same name as that adopted in the WEF-Gates-John Hopkins October 18, 2019 simulation exercise." https://www.globalresearch.ca/ncov-2019-coronavirus-time-line/5705776
So, in effect, Chossudovsky was saying that Event 201 went live. The term "went live" is current in conspiracy circles who are aware that a drill was conducted in the US on the same day as the 911 attack, and that the same happened in London on the day of the "7/7" bombings.
However, Chossudovsky branded Covid-19 a "fake" pandemic concocted for the benefit of Big Pharma. Three months later, few people now call it "fake"; but it's still considered a rigged pandemic in some circles. Rigged, that is, to achieve a predetermined result.
WHO, Bill Gates, John Hopkins and the World Economic Forum are Globalists. But given that Covid-19 is real not fake, to suggest that Globalists unleashed it seems far-fetched. Why would Globalists unleash Covid, considering that it is ruining their Globalization project?
Barrett says, to bring down China, the main beneficiary of Globalization. But the Globalists have been suppressing evidence that Covid leaked from a Chinese lab; they show no sign of wanting to bring China down. Rather, they want to retain China in their NWO but without Xi Jinping; they would like him replaced by a more amenable leader.
A couple of weeks ago, Barrett suggested that it have been released by Neocons. They were the faction which pulled off 911 (in conjunction with Mossad, & possibly rogue elements in the CIA). And their PNAC paper advocated for bioweapons, although, being Israel-oriented, they probably had Arabs in mind. Here is Barrett:

Notice his term "elements of the US Deep State". The word "elements" implies factions; and the faction that Barrett blamed then was the Neocons. During the webinar I brought these factions up.
I noted that the Globalist faction (Soros) would not have unleashed Covid, because it is bringing Globalization down.
Might it have been released by Neocons? Earlier Neocons had pulled off 911. Neocons are oriented to Israel, and Netanyahu in particular, yet Israel has been cosying up to China - Israel is the western terminus of China's new Silk Road. This cosying up to China does not fit well with the Neocon hypothesis.
Might the CIA have unleashed it? But the Director of National Intelligence issued a statement denying that Covid-19 had been created in a lab. Why would they do that, if they were trying to bring China down? Instead, the statement implies that the CIA is in the Globalist camp, which is consistent with the Deep State's Russiagate campaign against Trump.
Which leaves Trump's camp. Might THEY have unleashed Covid-19? But in that case, one would think that they would have been better prepared, & would have handled it much better, instead of vacillating for weeks and initially denying the seriousness of the pandemic in the USA.
In short, none of the factions fit Barrett's hypothesis very well. That may be why, during the webinar, he backtracked on the "elements" / factions idea, and said instead that the elite / Deep State act as a unified body.
As you know, I accept Francis Boyle's view that Covid was an experiment in a Wuhan biolab (WIV or, more likely in my view, WHCDC) that was accidentally leaked.
Wuhan researchers at WIV had earlier enhanced the virus during collaborative experiments with Ralph Baric's team at the University of North Carolina.
In a March 15, 2016 paper in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the USA, titled "SARS-like WIV1-CoV poised for human emergence", Baric et. al. thanked Shi Zhengli of WIV for supplying the bat samples. The paper is at https://www.pnas.org/content/113/11/3048 . It states,
"ACKNOWLEDGMENTS. We thank Dr. Zhengli-Li Shi of the Wuhan Institute of Virology for access to bat CoV sequences and plasmid of WIV1-CoV spike protein."
This means that American experimenters were using bat genetic material from WIV. Shi Zhengli had collaborated with them on many occasions.

Whereas WIV is a BSL-4 lab, subject to stringent safety rules, although these seem not to have been strictly observed, WHCDC is a BSL-2 lab attracting much less attention. Yet it too was experimenting with large numbers of bats. Might it not have got some of its samples from WIV - given the warnings noted above about poor security there? WHCDC is only 280 metres from the wet Market.
The article by Chinese scientists, subsequently removed from Researchgate, was titled "The possible origins of 2019-nCoV coronavirus". It says,
"Within ~280 meters from the market, there was the Wuhan Center for Disease Control & Prevention (WHCDC) (Figure 1, from Baidu and Google maps). WHCDC hosted animals in laboratories for research purpose, one of which was specialized in pathogens collection and identification 4-6. In one of their studies, 155 bats including Rhinolophus affinis were captured in Hubei province, and other 450 bats were captured in Zhejiang province [...] WHCDC was also adjacent to the Union Hospital (Figure 1, bottom) where the first group of doctors were infected during this epidemic. It is plausible that the virus leaked around and some of them contaminated the initial patients in this epidemic, though solid proofs are needed in future study."
The article ends with this acknowledgment: "This work is supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China".

The article was uploaded to Researchgate at https://www.researchgate.net/publication/339070128. It says it was "uploaded by Botao Xiao on 06 February 2020", lead author Botao Xiao being from the Research Laboratory of Synthetic Biology and Medicine, School of Biology and Biological Engineering, at South China University of Technology, Guangzhou. The other two authors were scientists from Wuhan.
Yet the article was removed from Researchgate , and is now only available at https://www.docdroid.net/EZUN6cB/originsof2019-ncov-xiaob-res.pdf .
During the webinar, Thomas Willcutts noted that the (WIV and UNC) experimenters engaged in Gain of Function research, enhancing the ability of the virus to affect human cells, pretending to help nature along just to see if it could be done, with the goal of developing counter-measures BEFORE it naturally evolved in the same direction. In fact, the virus now wrecking the world economy was bred by those teams of scientists from WIV and UNC; but probably further enhanced in Wuhan.
Willcuts said that, when such Gain of Function research was banned in the USA, Fauci invested in continuing the banned research at WIV. Willcutts' evidence is at item 3 below.
One of the participants in the webinar said that all these Biolabs are operating like a cartel (but that word is mine), denying lab-origin, because if the world accepts lab-origin, there will be a campaign to shut down all those Biolabs. Their excuse is that their work is defensive, but actually they are creating the very problems they purport to solve.
We are all aware that the Globalists are pushing Mass Vaccination, surveillance and possibly chipping. I am a sort of "prepper", living on a small farm (7/8 acre, 3500 m2) and growing fruit, nuts & vegies; although the drought has made that difficult. Australia shut its borders early, and the public went along with lockdowns & social distancing. Now, many areas are opening again.
This newsletter is devoted to the Vaccination issue. If you watch Vaxxed, you will see that some of the main contributors say they are not against Vaccination per se, but are against the changes from the mid 1980s, when more and more vaccines, and combinations of vaccines (eg MMR), were made mandatory, and at younger ages.
The Vaccination industry cites Measles as a deadly disease, a major reason for vaccination.
Yet when I was growing up in the 1950s & 60s, all the kids got measles, mumps, and chickenpox. They were no big deal. Kids only got mild symptoms of any of them; we just took a week or two off school. Getting measles as a child gave us lifelong immunity. Of course, the Vaxxers will cite some rare exception as if it were the norm.
For adults who never got measles in their childhood, measles can be a serious disease. However, if everyone gets it in childhood, there are no adults going to suffer from it.
Similarly with Covid-19. Kids generally only get mild sytmptoms, so gain immunity cheaply. However, in the process, adults will be exposed, and they are much more vulnerable. Herd Immunity is not a viable option because, as Ron Unz said during the webinar, 2 million or so Americans would have to die, for herd immunity to be achieved.

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases ("NIAID") is a division of the NIH, and Anthony Fauci has been its Director since 1984. In 2014, the NIAID awarded research funding to a non-profit organization based in New York City - EcoHealth Alliance, for a research Project entitled: Understanding The Risk of Bat Coronavirus Emergence {footnote 34 - see item 3 below}.
As described above, the methodology for researching whether or not a bat coronavirus might undergo mutations and "emerge" as a "risk" to human populations is by accelerating mutations in a laboratory setting and then studying them using GOF Research techniques.
This conclusion is consistent with the Project Abstract, which included the following description of typical GOF Research:
"Test predictions of CoV inter-species transmission. Predictive models of host range (i.e. emergence potential) will be tested experimentally using reverse genetics, pseudovirus and receptor binding assays, and virus infection experiments across a range of cell cultures from different species and humanized mice." {footnote 35 - see item 3 below}
The Project Abstract also specifically indicates that the research will be directed to China:
"This project aims to understand what factors increase the risk of the next CoV emerging in people by studying CoV diversity in a critical zoonotic reservoir (bats], at sites of high risk for emergence (wildlife markets] in an emerging disease hotspot (China)."
The NIAID funding award to EcoHealth Alliance was made in late Spring 2014, prior to the October 2014 Executive Order suspending NIH funding of GOF Research. As such, the use of these NIAID funds for GOF Research was not specifically forbidden by the suspension order, though voluntary suspension was encouraged by the order:
"During this pause, the US. Government will not fund any new projects involving these experiments and encourages those currently conducting this type of work - whether federally funded or not - to voluntarily pause their research while risks and benefits are being reassessed."
EcoHealth Alliance later confirmed that the funding it received under this particular grant from the NIAID was, indeed, used for research conducted at China's BSL-4 laboratory in Wuhan. Further, the NIAID had specifically approved collaboration with the Wuhan laboratory for this Project. {footnote 36 - see item 3 below}
The original grant for was for five years, and it was renewed for another five years in 2019. The Trump Administration has directed considerable blame towards the Chinese government for the Covid-19 pandemic, and on April 24, 2020, the NIH informed EcoHealth Alliance that its funding for China coronavirus research was terminated.
During his April 30, 2020 press conference, President Trump stated that
he had seen evidence suggesting Covid-19 had originated from the Wuhan
laboratory in China. On April 14, 2020, the Washington Post published a
story detailing an investigation of the Wuhan laboratory performed by U.S.
officials in January 2018, which led to diplomatic cables being sent back
to Washington warning of safety concerns with the Wuhan laboratory. More
specifically, U.S. health officials in China warned, "that the lab's
work on bat coronaviruses and their potential human transmission represented
a risk of a new SARS-like pandemic."

Trump Spreads Distorted Claim on Wuhan Lab Funding

The Wuhan Institute of Virology received $600,000 as part of a larger five-year U.S. government grant to a U.S.-based nonprofit studying emerging infectious diseases. But President Donald Trump put the figure at $7.5 million, saying he "ended it."
We asked the White House where the $7.5 million figure may have come from, but we haven't received a response.
False claims that the Wuhan lab had received $3.7 million in National Institutes of Health grant money have circulated online after an April 11 Daily Mail story made that assertion and Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz repeated it in a Fox News interview. The NIH didn't award such a grant. Instead, it gave a grant totaling $3.4 million, beginning in 2014, to the U.S.-based EcoHealth Alliance to study the risk of the future emergence of coronaviruses from bats. And EcoHealth distributed $600,000 of that total to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, a collaborator on the project, pre-approved by NIH.
[...] An April 16 Fox News story cited another $3.4 million grant, regarding a behavioral study, that may have included some funding that went to the Wuhan lab. But the grant, which was awarded to Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in New York, hasn't been terminated. It was originally for 2014-2019 and a second related grant was approved this year. We reached out to Cold Spring Harbor Lab, and we'll update this story if we receive additional information.
Fox News acknowledged that it was "not clear exactly how much U.S. funding went directly to the Wuhan Institute of Virology because it worked in collaboration with other institutions on the projects funded by the American grants."
In the case of the EcoHealth grant - the one that was canceled - we do know how much went to the Wuhan lab and it was well short of even $1 million.
In a statement, the NIH said the total grant to EcoHealth was $3.4 million over six years (2014 through 2019) and that the grant had been terminated. "NIH does not discuss details of the decision making process regarding specific grant awards," the statement said. Information on the NIH website shows the project began on June 1, 2014, and was ended on April 24, 2020.
Nearly all of the $3.4 million was part of a five-year grant awarded in 2014, EcoHealth spokesman Robert Kessler told us in an email, and the $600,000 given to the Wuhan Institute of Virology was part of that grant. In 2019, the project was renewed for another five years, and EcoHealth received $292,161 in 2019 before NIH canceled the grant last month.
USA Today reported that about $76,000 had been budgeted for the Wuhan lab as part of the 2019 renewal. Kessler confirmed to us that money had been budgeted but it hadn't been distributed to the lab before the grant was ended.
The Wuhan, China, lab - located in the city where the novel coronavirus outbreak began in late 2019 - was pre-approved as a collaborator by NIH and the State Department, Kessler said. Researchers used the lab to conduct genetic analyses of the viruses. [...]
The NIH grant - technically funded through the NIH's National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases - backed research into the emergence of coronaviruses that can affect humans and originate in bats, which is the origin, experts suspect, of SARS-CoV-2, or the novel coronavirus, as well as severe acute respiratory syndrome, or SARS, virus, which caused a global outbreak in 2003, and the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, or MERS, virus, identified in 2012.
The EcoHealth project description on the NIH website says that zoonotic coronaviruses - meaning those that can transfer from animals to humans - "are a significant threat to global health" and that bats "appear to be the natural reservoir of these viruses." The project "aims to understand what factors increase the risk of the next CoV emerging in people by studying CoV diversity in a critical zoonotic reservoir (Bats), at sites of high risk for emergence (wildlife markets) in an emerging disease hotspot (China)."
EcoHealth, which has received government grant money nearly every year
since 2002, according to an NIH database, said in its April 28 statement
that the research terminated by the Trump administration "aimed to
analyze the risk of coronavirus emergence and help in designing vaccines
and drugs to protect us from COVID-19 and other coronavirus threats. In
fact, genetic sequences of two bat coronaviruses that we discovered with
this grant have been used as lab tools to test the breakthrough antiviral
drug Remdesivir."

In a recent interview with the Telegraph, the former head of MI6 Sir Richard Dearlove cited an "important" scientific report that suggested that the novel coronavirus had not emerged naturally, but had been created by Chinese sci entists. Dearlove said he believed the pandemic had "started as an accident" after the virus escaped the lab. A month earlier, the US secretary of state, Mike Pompeo, had said he had "enormous evidence" that Covid-19 had originated in a lab in China, only to backtrack from this claim on live TV in the same sentence.
Suggestions that Covid-19 is a manmade virus are the latest chapter in a tale of blame, misinformation and finger-pointing. Cue the conspiracy theorists, marching out their narrative about the high-security BSL-4 lab in Wuhan, where mysterious experiments to design "frankenviruses" led to the tragic global pandemic. Cue political posturing against China, with calls for an inquiry, trade sanctions and even reparations.
Determining the origins and emergence of a pandemic is as messy and
complex as studying a plane crash. Just as an air crash investigator pieces
together fragments at a crash site, pinpointing the origins of a new virus
is painstakingly difficult and time-consuming, and requires logic and reason.
I know, because this is exactly what our organisation, EcoHealth Alliance,
does. We work around the world to identify the origins of pandemics, map
them and analyse them, and use these results to predict where the next
pandemic will likely emerge. We then target these "hotspots"
for enhanced surveillance, capacity-building and risk-reduction programmes
to prevent diseases emerging. We have spent the past 15 years working
in China to analyse the group of viruses from which Sars and now Covid-19
have emerged. Sampling more than 16,000 bats, we showed that Sars emerged
from a cluster of coronaviruses carried by horseshoe bats that are abundant
across southern and central China and traded frequently in wet markets.
We found Sars-related viruses that could infect human cells in the lab,
cause diseases in lab animals, and evade drugs and vaccines designed to
protect us. We worked with the scientists behind the breakthrough drug
Remdesivir to show that it was effective against known human coronaviruses
and the viruses we suspected might be the next to emerge. We raised the
red flag on these viruses and pointed out their potential to cause the
