A reader called "G" seemed deeply shocked that I considered the Protocols of Zion genuine, despite all proofs to the contrary.

In letter after letter putting his case, one theme emerged above all: "G" was riveted on the idea of Jewish Victimhood.

Jewish history is often presented - not least in the Jewish Bible - as one long history of Victimhood. Yet the Jewish Bible's accounts of how God gave the Promised Land to the Jews are as bloodthirsty as the Aztecs might have written:

Thus the Book of Numbers records that the Jews "waged the campaign against Midian, as Yahweh had ordered Moses, and they put every male to death... the sons of Israel took the Midianite women captive with their young children, and plundered all their cattle, all their flocks and all their goods. They set fire to the towns where they lived and all their encampments... Then, when they took the captives, spoil and booty to Moses..., Moses was enraged.... 'why have you spared the life of all the women...? So kill all the male children. Kill also all the women who have slept with a man. Spare the lives only of the young girls who have not slept with a man, and take them for yourselves" (Num 31: 7-19).

Similarly in the Book of Deuteronomy, when the Jews attacked Sihon's Amorite kingdom, "the LORD our God gave him over to us; and we struck him down, along with all his offspring and all his people. At the time we captured all his towns, and in each town we utterly destroyed men, women, and children. We left not a single survivor. ..." (Deut 2: 33-35, NRSV).

No doubt, other conquerors in history did much the same, but these deeds are recorded in Jewish sacred literature, as sanctioned by God, and in accord with the Jewish Covenant with God. Is there any other sacred literature as genocidal as this?

This is not peripheral but foundational literature, establishing the Jewish title to the land. It's at the heart of the Jewish Bible: it cannot be discarded without discarding the whole lot. It's quite different, for example, from Australian Aboriginal or North American Indian accounts of how they came to be on their land.

Ironically, the wealthiest group in America has the most deeply ingrained Victim mentality. There are, however, dissident Jews who portray Jews as a people of power.

Benjamin Ginsberg wrote of the United States in 1993, "Today, though barely 2% of the nation's population is Jewish, close to half its billionaires are Jews. The chief executive officers of the three major television networks, and the four largest film studios are Jews, as are the owners of the nation's largest newspaper chain and most influential single newspaper, the New York Times. In the late 1960s, Jews already constituted 20% of the faculty of elite universities and 40% of the professors of elite law schools; today, these percentages doubtless are higher" (The Fatal Embrace, p.1): ginsberg.html.

Ginsberg is not only a Jew; he is Professor of Political Science at a prestigous American university.

Ginsberg continues,

"{p. 1} Their role in American economic, social, and political institutions has enabled Jews to wield considerable influence in the nation's public life. The most obvious indicator of this influence is the $3 billion in direct military and economic aid provided to Israel by the United States each year and, for that matter, the like amount given to Egypt since it agreed to maintain peaceful relations with Israel.

"{p. 2} That fully three-fourths of America's foreign aid budget is devoted to Israel's security interests is a tribute in considerable measure to the lobbying prowess of AIPAC and the importance of the Jewish community in American politics".

But what does it say about "Jewish Internationalism" - that trademark Jewish concern for the poor?.

And Ginsberg also says, "At least until recently, another mark of Jewish influence was the virtual disappearance of anti-Semitic rhetoric from mainstream public discourse in the United States. As a general rule, what can and cannot be said in public reflects the distribution of political power in society" (p. 2).

Jews, then, are no ordinary Victims.

Let us examine Ginsberg's figures on American billionaires. "Close to half" are Jews; let's put that at 45%. Then Jews, 2% of America, have 45% of the billionaires, while non-Jews, 98%, have 55% of them. The percapita ratio is (45/2)/(55/98), i.e. Jews have 40 times as many billionaires percapita, as non-Jews, in America.

It will be objected that individual Jews should not be bundled in with these billionaires. Of course; yet Ginsberg himself shows the power of organised Jewish interests.

Now this is a question not of envy, but of power. Ginsberg shows that the Jewish lobbies use their wealth to hijack the American Aid budget, so that 75% of it is diverted to Israel's needs. Remember, Jews are the wealthiest and most powerful group in the United States, and the American Aid budget should be going to the world's poorest people.

Ginsberg also shows that Jewish lobbies use their wealth to suppress criticism or scrutiny of themselves: that is the point of the "AntiSemitic" smear.

And what is the consequence of Jewish ownership of The New York Times, the world's most influential newspaper, from which others take a lead? Norman Finkelstein, Jewish dissident, writes, in the Forward to the paperback edition of his book The Holocaust Industry,

"The New York Times serves as the main promotional vehicle of the Holocaust industry ... For frequency of coverage, the Holocaust places a close second to the daily weather report. Typically, The New York Times Index 1999 listed fully 273 entries for the Holocaust. By comparison, the whole of Africa rated 32 entries":

Africa is the real Victim, yet the New York Times shows far less interest in it than in Jewish Victimhood; black Americans are the real Victims, yet their Victimhood has been hijacked by the Victimhood of the most wealthy group.

Now Karl Marx, himself a Jew, alleged that Jewish wealth was not just a matter of intelligence, luck or hard work. In his article The Russian Loan, Marx wrote,

"the Jews ... monopolise the machinery of the loanmongering mysteries by concentrating their energies upon the barter of trade in securities, and the changing of money and negotiating of bills in a great measure arising therefrom. Take Amsterdam, for instance, a city harboring many of the worst descendants of the Jews whom Ferdinand and Isabella drove out of Spain, and who, after lingering awhile in Portugal, were driven thence also, and eventually found a safe place of retreat in Holland. ... The smartest highwayman in the Abruzzi is not better posted up about the locale of the hard cash in a traveller's valise or pocket than those Jews about any loose capital in the hands of a trader".

Far from being a hater of Christianity like the Bolsheviks who later usurped the socialist movement, Marx continued,

"This Jew organisation of loanmongers is as dangerous to the people as the aristocratic organisation of landowners ... Let us not be too severe upon these loanmongering gentry. The fact that 1855 years ago Christ drove the Jewish moneylenders out of the temple, and that the moneylenders of our age enlisted on the side of tyranny happen again chiefly to be Jews, is perhaps no more than a historical coincidence. The loanmongering Jews of Europe do only on a larger and more obnoxious scale what many others do on one smaller and less significant. But it is only because the Jews are so strong that it is timely and expedient to expose their organisation" (The Russian Loan, in Saul K. Padover (ed.) The Karl Marx Library, Vol. 5, p. 221).

Can you imagine Trotsky making such statements?

In his book The Making of Modern Zionism (p. 41), Schlomo Avineri discloses that the information about the connection between Judaism and capitalism was provided to Marx by none other than Moses Hess, the "red Rabbi" who later became one of the founders of modern Zionism through his book Rome and Jerusalem. Hess died in 1875, but in 1950 his remains were moved to Israel as a tribute to his role in Zionism (Avineri, p.36).

Jewish finance has fostered Zionism: the Balfour Declaration was addressed, not to a Rabbi, but to Lord Rothschild the banker: c20-doc.html.

And the same Jewish finance is very interested in World Government. Woodrow Wilson was a bankers' President, who pushed a Free Trade bill through before the Federal Reserve Act enthroned the private bankers. Wilson later promoted the League of Nations as a World Government: oneworld.html.

The Baruch Plan for World Government, in 1946, was drafted by Bernard Baruch of Wall Street, and David Lilienthal, both Jews: opensoc.html.

A World Government, whatever its merits, is final: there's no turning back, no trial period: all other options are surrendered. Therefore, scrutinising the movements or factions promoting it is legitimate and vital, even if that means challenging the powerful vested interests that pose as Victims.
